Measuring  Tips

How to read a tape Measure?

1 = 1", 2 = 2", 3 = 3", etc. Between those numbers are shorter marks representing fractions of an inch. The spot right in the middle of the inch means a measurement of 1/2". In contrast, the markings on either side of it represent measurements of 1/4" and 3/4", respectively. How to use a Brannock Device?

Stand with equal weight on both feet to ensure that the foot is elongated and spread to its maximum size. Next, place the heel against the back of the heel cup and look straight down over the longest toe (not necessarily the first toe) to read toe length.
